A Message From The CEO

Dear Member,

Uncertain.

Uncertain can be represented by many words, such as, unpredictable, inconsistent, unsettled, fickle, skittish, up in the air, haphazard or a myriad of other synonyms and similar words. When we find ourselves in times of uncertainty we long for the steady, stable, consistency of known outcomes. These stabilizing lifelines help us find moments of calm during the large and small storms of life.

With the uncertainty in some of the financial markets we’re here to help you as a stabilizing lifeline. Since 1956 when the Credit Union was organized, we’ve continued to prioritize a three-legged stool approach to serving our members/owners. When reviewing products and services as well as other decisions we review it from these three vantage points: How does it affect our members/owners? How does it affect the Credit Union? And how does it affect our team members?

Making sure we balance all three vantage points provides for a stable decision as the Credit Union continues to grow. One example of this process was the implementation of Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) that was rolled in on March 11, 2025. The increase of bad actors trying to separate people from their money is not slowing down. To help protect our members/owners, reduce losses for the Credit Union and reduce the teams time resolving losses. We also considered ways to make this security less intrusive in our members/owners lives by allowing you to remember a device when you log in to reduce the number of times you need to authenticate.

Know that in the world of uncertainty we are striving to provide a place of refuge from the storm. Your Credit Union is strong and stands on a firm financial foundation. I invite you to utilize all the services we offer that will assist you in your life.

Thank you for your membership,

Page Bennett

Farmington Building Update

The construction of the new building in Farmington is progressing well. The timeline is still on track to be completed this year (2025). We are excited for its completion so Horizon Credit Union can continue to serve our members well into the future.

The exterior siding is being placed, and the interior work of paint, flooring, and finishes are progressing. The landscaping is being brought in with much of the groundwork completed. Trees, shrubs, and plants will be worked on as we move further into spring.

We appreciate your membership and look forward to setting a date for a grand opening of the building when the membership can come and see it.
